Staff/Location Information
Camp Staff
The staff for the Panther High School Baseball Camp consists of the Chapman University coaching staff as well as highly successful former and current Chapman players. Our staff is committed to providing you with a weekend of personalized and expert instruction in all facets of the game. The instructor/player ratio for the Panther High School Baseball Camp is less than four to one.
Head Coach/Camp Director
Tom Tereschuk leads one of the best small college baseball programs in the nation. In his first year at the Chapman helm, Coach Tereschuk was named the National Coach of the Year as he led the Panthers to the 2003 NCAA Division III National Championship. Under his leadership the Panthers have made a total of four trips to the World Series as they have won the West Region Championship in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Associate Head Coach/Pitching Coach
Dave Edwards has built and maintained one of the most dominating collegiate pitching staffs in the country. In each year of his tenure, Chapman has been ranked in the top five for lowest ERA (leading the nation in '03 with a 1.91 ERA). In five years Coach Edwards has coached seven All Americans while four Panther pitchers have signed professional contracts. As a player Coach Edwards was drafted by the Detroit Tigers and pitched in both the Detroit and Oakland A's organizations.
Assistant Coach/Hitting Instructor
Dan Koosed has many years of coaching experience in the Orange County area. Prior to joining the Panthers, Coach K was an assistant at Foothill High School from 2001-2007 helping them win two CIF Championships. He also coached several years at both Tustin and Woodbridge High Schools. Following his collegiate career at Chapman and La Roche College, Coach K played and coached in the Royal Dutch Baseball Federation in Holland. Coach Koosed is also a respected private hitting instructor.
Camp Location
Hart Park in the City of Orange is the home of the Chapman University Panthers and is located less than a mile from the CU campus. This facility has been the site of several NCAA Division III West Regional Championships. Hart Park is located at the 22 Fwy and Glassell St.
